Upon your arrival at Marrakech Airport, one of our team members will greet you to begin your 7 day Morocco itinerary from Marrakech to Fez. You will be transferred to your hotel or Riad in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Spend the night in Marrakech.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This day is dedicated to exploring Marrakech. Our historical tour includes visits to the Menara Garden, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, and the Dar Si Said Museum. After the tour, head back to the hotel or a restaurant for lunch. We will continue our one week Morocco itinerary with a leisurely walk through the souks (markets) and artisanal neighbourhoods in the afternoon. To conclude the day, take a stroll through the renowned Jemaa el-Fnaa, a hub of entertainment for both locals and visitors for numerous centuries.
Today, you will pass through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, located in the High Atlas Mountains. As you travel from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, get ready to be captivated by the beautiful scenic routes showcasing stunning vistas, a vibrant palette of colors, and traditional Berber communities. You will also have the chance to explore the intriguing history of Ait Ben Haddou before arriving in Ouarzazate, where you can tour the renowned “Kasbah Taourirt.”
Following that, we will proceed through the lush terrains of the valley southeast of Dades and the Valley of the Roses, which includes a visit to the charming Skoura Palmery. We will end the day in Dades Valley for an overnight stay.
Begin your morning with breakfast before leaving the Dades Valley to head towards the Merzouga desert. Journey towards Tinghir and explore the stunning Todra gorges. After visiting the gorges, continue on to Tinjdad, Erfoud, and the Palm Grove, where you’ll have free time for lunch before moving on to Touroug. We will then proceed to the stunning dunes of Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Upon our arrival in Merzouga, prepare for a camel ride into the dunes to reach your desert camp for the evening. Take in the breathtaking views of the Sahara and spend the night beneath the stars.
You have the option to rise early to see the sunrise over the vast dunes. At the campsite, you will have a chance to shower and enjoy breakfast, after which we will continue with our one week Morocco itinerary, traveling north through the Tafilalet palm grove toward Ziz Valley.
Take in a moment to appreciate the beautiful views of the valley alongside the locals from Aoufous. We then head to Midelt, a notable town perched at an altitude of 1488 meters, where we will take a break to rest and enjoy a meal. In the afternoon, we will keep driving through Ifrane, often called “Morocco’s Switzerland.” Arrive in Fes in the afternoon and relax at your hotel/riad
Following breakfast, we will spend our sixth day in Morocco exploring Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities and historical towns, established by Idriss II, which serves as a hub of Arab-Muslim culture: the Andalusian Mosque, tanneries, the pottery district, and the Medina. We will have lunch in a palace located within the Medina. Afterward, we will continue our tour of the Spanish-Arab architecture, the Medersas, and Najjarine. Free evening to relax in your riad or explore the rest of the medina.
Transfer to Fes airport according to your flight schedule to mark the end of our one week Morocco itinerary.
