Itinerary Morocco desert tour 4 days from Marrakech
1st Day: Marrakech – Draa Valley – Zagora
We will depart from the hotel or Riad and make our way south, crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi-N-tichka Pass. You will have the chance to take in stunning views and magnificent mountain landscapes. Our first stop will be the town of Ouarzazate, where we will explore the Kasbah Taourirte. Afterward, we will continue through the Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest palm tree grove that extends all the way to Zagora. At this point, you will get off the 4×4 and on a 2-hour camel ride to reach the desert camp.
2nd Day: Zagora – Ramlia Oasis
Throughout the day, we travel along a route that is part of the Dakar Rally, continuing our 4-day private desert tour from Marrakech. We will visit the Ramlia oasis and spend the night in a hotel situated in the heart of the desert, with the opportunity to watch the sunset and enjoy a traditional dinner
3rd Day: Ramlia Oasis - Todra Gorges
After watching the sunrise in the middle of the dunes, you will have breakfast and continue your 4-day private desert tour from Marrakech towards Merzouga, at the foot of the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then continue the journey towards the breathtaking Todra Gorges. At the entrance to the gorges, we find the Todra Valley, a magnificent palm grove that reaches the town of Tinghir. It is one of the most famous natural sights in Morocco. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
4th Day: Todra Gorges - Boumalne Dades - Marrakech
Start the day with breakfast and then continue through a beautiful valley full of Berber kasbahs, adobe villages and palm trees, until you reach the town of Boulmane Dades. Drive along a mountain road to the gorges and canyons of the Dades. Then, we head towards the Dades valley through the Berber villages of Skoura and continue the way through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech and the end of the 4-day private desert tour from Marrakech.
