This is the beginning of the 8 days trip from Casablanca to the Desert. Leave from Casablanca airport and explore the Hassan II Mosque. Continue to Rabat. Discover the city of Rabat along with its landmarks: the Oudaias Alcazaba, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Hassan Tower. Stay overnight in a Riad/Hotel.
Today we leave for Fez through the Maamora forest en route to Meknes. Upon arriving in Meknes, we’ll make stop to visit the city that flourished under Sultan Moulay Ismail. Located 27 km from Meknes are the remains of the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Our 8 days trip from Casablanca to the Desert continues as we explore the sacred city of Moulay Idriss. We then proceed to Fez on time for dinner.
A full day is devoted to exploring the intellectual heart of the kingdom. There are numerous monuments to see, including Medersas (Koranic schools), Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin, the Souks, Fes El-Jedid, and the Karaouine Mosque, which is recognized as the world’s first university. Enjoy the rest of the evening to relax or explore the medina at your own pace.
Our 8 days trip from Casablanca to the desert begins with breakfast, followed by our departure to the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will make a brief stop in Ifrane, often referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. Next, we proceed to Azrou National Park, which features a cedar forest inhabited by friendly monkeys.
We then head to Midelt for lunch, a town notable for its towering mountains at 1488 meters. After that, we travel to Erfoud for a thrilling 4×4 adventure leading us to the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. After a camel ride, we’ll take some time to relax at the desert camp and enjoy
the sunset. In the evening, we will stroll through the dunes before dinner in traditional nomadic tents.
Following breakfast, we set off for Rissani and Erfoud to tour the fossilized marble factory, then continue to the Jorf palm grove on the right bank of the River Ziz. Our 8 days trip from Casablanca to the Desert will take us to Ksar de Touroug, nestled within a stunning oasis.
As we pass through Tinjdad, we will eventually reach Tinghir. After lunch, we will hike along the Todra Gorge. We will then travel through the gorgeous Boumalne Dades valley to explore Kelaa Magouna, known as the Valley of the Roses, which is in full bloom during May. Finally, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where there’s an option to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, previously the home of the Pasha of Marrakech.
We will travel to Marrakech through Tizi-N-Tichka (2260m). The ascent follows a uniquely winding road that provides breathtaking views with a variety of coluors across the Haouz plain. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
This city shares its name with Morocco itself. It is located near the Atlas Mountains, often adorned with magnificent snow year-round. Its destiny has been connected with various ruling dynasties, and it possesses a rich history as a center for politics, economy, and culture. It has continually held a significant position in the history of the Maghreb.
Marrakech is famous for its lively atmosphere, where celebrations are ever-present, especially at the famous Jamaa el Fna, which has served as an incredible venue for popular performances for centuries: snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, soothsayers, and fortune tellers all add to its allure. There are many sites to visit in Marrakech, including the Medersa Ben Yussef, the Menara, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal garden, the Tombs of the Saadians, and the Majorel garden.
