Upon landing at Casablanca airport, a member of our staff will greet you and transfer you to your Riad/hotel located in central Casablanca.
After enjoying breakfast, we’ll embark on our visit Morocco in 9 days complete itinerary, starting with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques globally. We will then proceed to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where we will tour key historical landmarks, including the Kasbah of Oudaya, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Hassan Tower, the minaret of an unfinished mosque. Following lunch, we will make our way toward Chefchaouen.
Today, your authentic Moroccan journey will continue towards Volubilis, passing through Ouazzane and additional villages in the Rif region. In Volubilis, you’ll explore Roman ruins and gain insights into Morocco’s archaeological history. After touring the ruins, we’ll head to Meknes, a historical site from the 17th century, where we’ll pause for lunch and stroll through the medina and Bab el Mansour. Finally, we will drive to Fez, where you will spend the night.
Today, you will begin your journey through Fez, the most ancient city in Morocco, as you stroll through its narrow alleys and quaint streets. Your tour will kick off at the entrance of the Royal Palace and will lead you through the Jewish quarter, the earliest Mellah established in Morocco, which dates back to the 16th century. We will ensure you explore all the significant cultural and historical landmarks, such as the renowned Al Karaouine University, the oldest institution in the region, as well as the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After enjoying lunch, you’ll visit the tile cooperative and then take in a stunning panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.
Following breakfast, we will begin our journey south towards the Merzouga desert, passing through Midelt and Errachidia. Our first stop will be the city of Ifrane, often referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this drive, you’ll get a view of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
While visiting the renowned cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, you may spot some Barbary macaques. As you near the town of Errachidia, you will observe how the landscape transitions, hinting at the desert ahead. Rise early to witness the sunrise over the desert, enjoy breakfast, and then depart from the dunes on a camel ride to meet your vehicle or, if you’re in a 4×4, you can be collected directly from the camp.
Next, we will embark on our journey to the Dades Valley, traveling through Todgha Valley and its gorges, where we’ll pause to capture photos of the kasbahs. You will have the chance to explore the breathtaking Todgha Gorges on foot before we continue our 9-day tour of Morocco to the Dades Valley. Spend the night in the Dades Valley, which includes dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll make our way to Marrakech, passing through the Dades Valley, which features stunning rock formations and historic kasbahs. Next, we’ll visit the Valley of the Roses, famous for its roses harvested in April. Our journey continues to Ouarzazate, often referred to as Africa’s Hollywood, where you can admire the Taourirt kasbah and tour the film studios.
We will then proceed to a UNESCO Heritage Site, the Ait Ben Haddou ksar, the largest ksar in Morocco, recognized for its role in films like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and The Jewel of the Nile. Following that, we’ll head to Marrakech via the Tichka Pass, one of Morocco’s tallest mountains, and are expected to arrive in Marrakech by the afternoon.
Today, we’ll embark on a guided tour of Marrakech, where you will visit the city’s key attractions and landmarks, including the renowned Jemaa el Fna square, the Koutoubia mosque, the souks, along with various palaces and museums. We will also explore areas of the city that are part of Marrakech Jdid, the “New City,” such as Gueliz, the Menara, and Majorelle Gardens.
